Computer means...

• a machine for performing calculations automatically.
• A computer is a machine that manipulates data according to a list of instructions.
• A programmable device that performs mathematical calculations and logical operations, especially one that can process, store and retrieve large data.
• Electronic machine that stores information and instructions, performs calculations, and organizes data.
• An electronic machine which solves problems using information or does other work with that information.

Importance of computer

1. It helps to do many things we canot proffesionally do on our own.
2. it is used to play games. It is used to teach and learn.
3. Computers help us do everyday tasks more easily...we can now shop, bank, and even sell things quicker and more efficiently online...and I guess now, we don't need to know proper grammer either.
4. It makes a program to run faster. storing of data, retreiving of data is done within a few second, also processing of any data is done faster using computer than any other mechanical machine.
5. Genarally it affect our various prospect of life in banking, crime investigation, networking, business and so on.

LATEST TECHOLOGY

• LG's latest concept phone from the MWC last week, it is equipped with solar panels allowing it to help the environment by reducing the need to use non-renewable resources. When you think of technology and gadgets that harvest solar energy I tend to think of large chunky panels but in fact the concept phone below is quite the opposite.
• The X340 will be a 13.4 inch laptop, while the X600, a 15.6 inch. Both are Centrino 2 based and the X600 even has an eSATA port on top of its two USBs. Unfortunately we don’t know the full specs yet other than both pack a HDMI port - though we’d have to assume the X340 is an improved version of the same sized X320, we expect more news on the whole MSI X-Slim range at the CeBIT computer shortly next month.
• Lego PC mod, you may still remember some of the workable custom Lego gadgets we've featured in the past, such as the latest PC mod, Lego Mac Pro, Lego V8 engine, Lego Safe and Lego Playstation. What make this Lego PC special is the fact that the creators have added emotion and feeling into this piece of work (it's art!). The Lego PC has many tiny Lego figures surrounding it, actually a house or a lodge of some sort! And inside the actual model, representing a scene of a lively and friendly Lego town is the PC's hardware. Computer hardware doesn't feel cold afterall! • Rolls-Royce has released the official details and images of its new and upcoming 200EX. While Rolls-Royce has deemed the Geneva-bound 200EX a concept, expect almost every exterior and interior detail to carry over to the production model when it arrives in 2010. So what is the 200EX going to be like? Think of the best cues from the Phantom and Drophead Coupe and fit them into a decidedly smaller package then you get the 200EX.
